We are still under construction, so not all areas are complete. Please check back soon.
I was three months old when my parents first took me camping. From what I'm told, I loved it. I think it was the fresh air and being left alone in my pack 'n play.
Camping was where I was always allowed to roam free as a child. There wasn't an unexplored plot of land at Hartmann Creek State Park in Waupaca, WI, the campground where we spent the most time. I rode my bike from sun up to sun down and then it was time for dinner.
The best dinners were always pudgy pies. Making whatever combination I wanted between two slices of Wonder Bread. Toasting it slowly and checking it often to make it a perfect golden brown. Back then we had Tonka Toasters.
Today, I still love getting out into the wild-- even if a state park is sometimes as wild as it gets. And I still love pudgy pies. I travel to parks and campgrounds with my pie irons to share the joy of campfire cooking. I also share my presentation with scouts and youth groups.
I even offer a backyard experience for party hosts who want their event to be "catered" in a different, more interactive way. This is a great way to feed hungry kids and teens. Grown-ups love it too.
Share the love. Yummy toasted love.
